At ICE we provide professional training at a price schools can afford.

Joe Moretti has over 40 years experience in Education in Primary, Secondary, Further Education and Higher Education institutions. Joe has worked with teachers and strategic leaders, delivering training sessions in almost 50 countries.

Putting these courses together we’ve worked with some great education partners to provide quality experiences for each course, supported with great resources, equipment and education solutions. The aim is to provide you, the teachers, with the opportunities to experience and try out these solutions, wether to develop your existing skillset further, embark on a new area of training or examine first hand that they work for you and will be a worthwhile investment for your schools and classrooms.

All courses below are available as half and full day training sessions, giving teachers flexibility to fit training sessions around their teaching commitments.

Afternoon sessions follow on directly from morning sessions in terms of level and content. All courses are available to be hosted at your school or education establishment.

  • There are a range of GarageBand courses available, all in half and full day options.

    GarageBand for non Music specialists:

    This course is ideal for those teachers in Primary wanting to get immediate results with music making with their classes. No music theory or music specialist knowledge required.

Swift Playgrounds (iPad)

  • BBC Microbit:

    Introduction to the Microbit. Designed for those new to the Microbit or those with a little experience looking for more support and ideas for classroom delivery. (Half day).

    Going further with the Microbit: More advanced projects and programming, this course follows on directly from Introduction to the Microbit with more maker space projects (Half day).

    Learning Python with the BBC Microbit. (Half day). This workshop focuses on introducing and teaching Python with the BBC Microbit. (Half day).

  • Swift Playgrounds courses:

    Introduction to Swift Playgrounds This covers everything you need to know to deliver Swift Playgrounds as part of a coding solution for your coding curriculum. This session will also include using 3rd party solutions eg: Spheros and MicroBits with Swift Playgrounds

    Creating apps with Swift Playgrounds This session focuses on app developments with Swift Playgrounds

Science Data Logging with Globisens (all devices)

  • This half day course uses the Globisens Gensci data logger for gathering data from your environment, covering the Primary Science curriculum up to age 13. with exciting experiments in temperature, light, sound, distance and more.

  • TTS robots provide a wide range of solutions for covering coding in the curriculum. Many schools have Beebots hidden away unused in cupboards and corners of their classrooms, this course will show you how to get them back into being used effectively!

    Loti-Bot is the newest member of the TTS bot family, featuring programmable movement, highly accurate drawing capabilities and a variety of inputs and outputs.
